Misbah ul Haq – the Winner of World Cup Semi Final for India at Mohali

I, an Indian, Salute Mr. Misbah ul Haq of Pakistan for WINNING semi final for India by contribution by bat and dropped catch during Indian innings.

Misbah, your contribution will be remember forever (I promise)

BECAUSE, it is you who save Pakistani fielders especially Younis Khan and Kamran Akmal from blasphemy – how the God of Indian Cricket could be out before making half-century, if not the Century of Centuries.

Thanks to you, our Great Sachin Lucky Tendulkar made 85 runs with the 4 lives and Misbah – you were the Man who shown these mere mortals – Younis (Sachin at 45), Kamran Akmal (Sachin at 70) and finally Umar Akmal (how can he be behind from his brother) when the Great Scahin at 81 – the right ways by dropping our Sachin at 27 runs.

Alas! Shahid Afridi did not see the light you shown to other teammates and caught the Great Sachin. Poor Afridi.

After greatly contributing in the field by dropping catch and guiding others, you left no stone un-turn for the victory of India in this highly publicized and high tension cricket match by playing Test match in One Day.

Misbah, it is you, who made ordinary bowling of India to look Great by playing 41 dot balls (balls without run) in your LONG inning until the 50th over. I know, Misbah, you stayed there just to finish the work you started in Indian inning i.e. Winning Semi Final for India.

Misbah, you helped Indian bowlers to keep pressures on Pakistani batsman and played a good role in forcing them to play the shots which they would not played. You are the main instruments, due to which Indian bowlers got wicket of Abdul Razzak, Shahid Afridi,  Wahab Riaz and finally Umar Gul. Thanks to you, the asking run rate was on rising course that forced these batsmen to play big hits and gave their wickets.

It was a treat to watch you, playing 3-4 dots balls in every over by bringing bat with pad.

I did not understand why you were not given Man of the Match award while your contribution in Indian Victory is bigger than the Great Sachin’s 85 with 4 lives.

Misbah, please don’t lose heart, We – the people of India – always remember you fondly as we still remember that paddle-scoop (Pallu Shot) which gave us First T20 World Cup in 2007.

I, an Indian, once again Salute you Mr. Misbah ul Haq for winning us the Semi Final in 2011 World Cup at Mohali.

I hope that our Lucky Dhoni and his ordinary or not-so-ordinary boys will not forget your this Great contribution and will win the World Cup 2011. So that your efforts would not go in vain.

We, the cricket loving people of India, request honourable President of India to confer Padm Shree to Mr. Misbah ul Haque of Pakistan, if not Bharat Ratna.

Jai Hind!

Misbah-ul-Haq c Kohli b Khan 56 (134m 76b) SR: 73.68

41 dots balls i.e. balls without any run,  26 Singles, 2 Doubles, 5 Fours and 1 Six

Came at no. 5 in 23.5 ov. Pakistan’s score was 103/3, 158 req in 26 ov; RRR 6.07; RR 4.29.

Chandyana Pradhan Election October 2010

Result, Analysis and My Views

As the people belongs to Barahbasti Distt. Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) know that there was Gram Pradhan Election in the U.P. . It became more important for me as wife of my younger brother Muhammad Humaid Khan was the main contender for the post of Gram Pradhan.

The voting in my ancestral village Chandyana was held on Monday 25/10/2010, due to some unavoidable circumstances I did not able to cast my vote (it is unfortunate).  But sometime (or I should say most of the time) the situation is not in your control. Counting of votes started on Thursday 28/10/2010 and finished on Friday 29/10/2010.

I think I should go from END to BEGINING, so here is the result of Election:

After the polling everyone even the arch rivals were telling that we won the election hands down.

According the many (some of them I asked personally) it was the first time in the history of Chandyana that all most all the Pathans supported us. I feel it is because of image of my father – Janab M. A, Khan – i.e. everyone know that he is a religious, honest and just person and being a retired State Government Officer (he retired as Sr. Audit Officer), he knows how to get maximum for the village and villagers from the government offices especially the aids / funds for development works.

But I feel, Allah (s.w.t.) decided something else and we lost the election by mere 71 votes only. I believe, there is something good in that result which time will tell.

Here I wish to tell about my father, Janab Masha Allah Khan, first:

He is fond of reciting the Holy Qura’n daily and during the month of Ramadan he complete more that 10 Qura’n usually.

Being a Graduate in Accounts (B. Com. to be specific), he knows how to manage money because during his service time he finds discrepancies in other’s accounts be it Co-operative Banks or Societies and got the culprits punished by the courts.

During our stay in Hapur (distt. Ghaziabad) between 1979-1991, he was the main instrument in the renovation of one of the oldest Masjid (mosque) of the city situated in mohalla Kaziwara. People says that Masjid was build on the order of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgeer. And to the surprise of everyone he kept account of every collected rupee during that job.

In 1991 after the sad demise of my grandfather Late Insha Allah Khan (may Allah give him place in his heaven), my family shifted permanently to Chandyana. Here also, he involves himself in the affairs of masjid. He took the job of renovation of masjid in 2008-9 and work is still going on.

I think the above-mentioned give you the idea why my father has a good image. I will tell you about me and my family in future.  Insha Allah.

Now come back to the politics – that most of us think is dirty and for rich & criminals only. But I think good people should come forward to clean it. Alas, Alas it cannot be happen in near future (but I will not leave hope for good) because even after 60+ years of independence people still do not understand the power of their Votes and sells their votes for either a bottle of (desi/local) liquor (sharab) or some hundred.

As Allah (s.w.t.) says in Qura’n “Human being does not have patience (sabr)”, these people see only immediate benefit not long lasting one.

Same selling and purchasing of votes, either individually or in group, happened in  Chandyana election also. And one more time Money power wins over people power.

For minute analysis of this specific election – watch this space….

Till then ….. Sayonara…
